ArbitrationArbitration is a process where a neutral actually advises the parties of his or her decision as to have to resolve a matter. The parties choose one arbitrator who has expertise in the type of dispute. On an informal basis, the parties present their side, and the arbitrator makes a decision. The parties can agree, at the start of the process, to be bound by the arbitrator’s decision (binding arbitration), or use it as advisory information (non-binding arbitration). Rutgers Camden Mediation Center has a large faculty available for both mediation and arbitration services. To explore your options for mediation or other dispute resolution services, contact Rutgers Camden Mediation Center at 856-225-2975 or at rcmc@camden.rutgers.edu. |
