Distinguished Alumni Award
Arthur E. Armitage Sr. Distinguished Alumni Award is entering its 23rd year. The purpose of this award is to honor a School of Law-Camden graduate who has made significant contributions to his or her profession, whether or not it is the legal profession. Nominees should be highly regarded, active in civic or professional programs and be trusted with some responsible position. Past recipients include: William T. Cahill, Sr., '37, and James J. Florio, '67, former Governors of New Jersey, George F. Kugler, Jr., '53, former Attorney General of New Jersey, Ellen M. Kirsh '75, former General Counsel to AOL, Kathryn Flicker '70, former Director of the NJ Division of Criminal Justice, Carl D. Poplar '67, noted civil and criminal trial attorney, and Amelia H. Boss '75, law professor and internationally acclaimed expert on electronic commerce.

The Joseph M. Nardi, Jr. Distinguished Service Award, conferred by the Rutgers Camden Law School Alumni Association, was created in 2003 to honor a law school alum who has shown dedication to service through significant contributions to the Law School and the community. It was renamed in 2004 in honor of the Honorable Joseph M. Nardi, Jr. ‘56, a highly respected New Jersey Superior Court Judge, former Mayor of Camden and member of the Law School Community.
