Biography

Professor Katz directs the law school's Externship Program, an extensive clinical opportunity for third-year students.  Her research publications have concerned skills education and externship pedagogy to help students develop professionally. She teaches Interviewing, Counseling, and Negotiation, in addition to teaching seminars connected with the Externship Program.

Prior to joining the Rutgers faculty in 1993, she served as a clinical supervisor in the on-campus legal clinic at the University of Pennsylvania Law School and spent several years in legal services and public interest practice.

Professor Katz participates in scholarly colloquia across the country on topics related to externships, clinical legal education and student professional development.
