Honorable Joseph P. Testa is Judge of Superior Court, Family Part, in Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem Counties, New Jersey.
Judge Testa is admitted to practice in New Jersey and before the Supreme Court of the United States, the Supreme Court of the State of Mississippi, the Supreme Court of the State of New Jersey, the United States Court of Military Appeals, the United States Federal District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi, the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, the United States Court of Claims, and the United States Tax Court. He is a member of the American, New Jersey State, Mississippi State, Cumberland County and Federal Bar Associations. He is also a member of the Reserve Officers Association, the NJSBA’s Committee on Military Law, the Executive Committee of the NJSBA’s Family Law Section and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers National and New Jersey Chapters. Judge Testa is a frequent lecturer for New Jersey ICLE and other professional associations and has contributed to various publications. He is also a lecturer at the New Jersey Judicial College.
Judge Testa retired from the United States Army Reserves as a Colonel in the Judge Advocate General’s Corp and served on active duty from 1969 to 1970 and from 1971 thru 1974.
Judge Testa has received his B.A. from Villanova University and his J.D. from the University Of Mississippi School Of Law.
