Step 1: Judicial and Practice externship preliminary application information
How to Request Students
Apply to be an approved placement by contacting Prof. Legge about Judicial placements, at plegge@camden.rutgers.edu, or (856) 757-5002, or Prof. Katz about Practice placements, at hnkatz@camden.rutgers.edu or (856) 225-6407. The form "Request to Participate" is located on this webpage under information for placement agencies. You may complete this form first, or begin with a discussion of your interest in the program.
Summary of Externship Supervisor Responsibilities
Summer externship students in Practice Externship positions or in Judicial chambers earn 3 to 6 credits (6 credits for completing 320 hours of work; 5 credits for 270 hours; 4 credits for 215 hours; 3 credits for 160 hours of work), and participating in an online class. For Practice Externship, you must be a 3L. For Judicial, you must be at least in the second term of your 2L year. ENROLLMENT IS BY PERMISSION OF INSTRUCTOR ONLY. YOU MUST CONSULT WITH PROF.
