Trains students in the fundamental processes required for participation as a neutral in successful divorce mediation and also as the lawyer for one of the parties, including negotiation and facilitation. The class will examine strengths and weaknesses of divorce mediation as an alternative to traditional divorce litigation. Classes will focus on the principles of mediation and family law, and will include substantial role play exercises.
