Prerequisite: Evidence I, Trial Advocacy or Student Trial Advocacy Competition Team
Recommended: Evidence II
Open to second-year students, and all third year students, who have completed Trial Advocacy or who are current or past members of the Student Trial Advocacy Competition Team. This course is designed to build upon skills previously learned. All students are expected to have an understanding of basic trial principles such as refreshing recollection, handling exhibits and impeaching witnesses. Focus is on developing case theory and strategy applicable to persuasion in the courtroom or boardroom. Basic courtroom technology will be a part of student presentations. Student performances will be video taped for critique. Final trials may take place in Judge Mellon's Buck County Courtroom. This course is designed to build upon skills previously learned.
