The Women’s Law Caucus, The Association for Public Interest Law, The Law Alumni Association and The Camden County Bar Association are proud to present the 2014 Mary Philbrook Public Interest Awards, which will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct 1.

This year's honoree is 1998 Rutgers Law-Camden alumna Tiffany Palmer, a social justice activist and shareholder at Jerner & Palmer, PC, where she specializes in LGBT family law. We will also celebrate the life and career of former Mazzoni Center Legal Director David Rosenblum, who passed away on May 2.

Proceeds from the Mary Philbrook Award Celebration support public interest lawyering at Rutgers School of Law – Camden including the Association for Public Interest Law Student Summer Grants, the Domestic Violence Program and our Clinical Programs.

Student Philbrook Award Nominations will be due in early September 2014

Last year’s award recipient was VIRGINIA LONG, who served as an Associate Justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court from 1999 until March 1, 2012, when she reached the age of mandatory retirement. Thereafter, she joined Fox Rothschild, where she spearheads the firm’s pro bono efforts in New Jersey. 

We also honored EVE BISKIND KLOTHEN,  first Assistant Dean of the Pro Bono and Public Interest Program at Rutgers Law School in Camden.
