Rutgers University School of Law—Camden has an alumni base of over 9,000 graduates who practice in almost all fifty states and in various countries throughout the world. To be a member of this prestigious group is to be a part of a network of loyal alums with a proud tradition of giving back to the law school in a myriad of ways.
Camden Law alumni donate their time and talents to their school, its students and to their fellow graduates. They volunteer to be mentors, guest lecturers, panelists, moot court coaches or judges, on campus interviewers and even adjunct professors.
Since its inception in the 1940's, The Rutgers—Camden School of Law Alumni Association, a dedicated group of alums, has donated its time and talent in an effort to help the law school attract the best and the brightest young minds in the country. Whether your home is in New Jersey or Texas, California or Florida, there are alumni willing to take the time to speak to you about the fine education they received at Camden Law and how it has helped them to achieve their personal and professional goals. Each year, The Alumni Association also provides scholarships to help deserving students become a part of the law school community. These students, in turn, guided by a sense of appreciation and gratitude, often become our most generous alums, contributing their support, both financially and emotionally, to the next generation of law school students. This past year, 30 scholarships were awarded to deserving students by the Alumni Association.
The Office of Alumni Relations, in conjunction with the Camden Law Alumni Association, provides many networking opportunities for Alumni to gather, affording them the opportunity to keep closely connected to their alma mater and to each other. In addition to these regional gatherings, alumni are kept abreast of events at the law school online, with broadcast emails and through the LawNews, published twice a year. Such events might include the Dedication of the new Law School Facility or the seating of the New Jersey State Supreme Court in our new Moot Courtroom (the first time the court ever officially heard cases outside of Trenton.)
Whether you are a prospective or current student or a member of the alumni, Rutgers University and Rutgers School of Law—Camden are committed to making your experience a rewarding one. You are always welcome to visit our campus, tour the Law School and to find out what 330,000 University alumni already know, Rutgers means excellence and commitment.
