Construction Activity Report 11/7/08
To the Law School Community:
Yesterday, approval was granted to occupy the renovated spaces on the first floor in the West Building. On Monday and Tuesday, November 10-11, the Career Services office will be relocating from 211 N. Fifth Street to its permanent quarters in the West Building. The office will re-open for business on Wednesday, November 12.
The 1st floor west classrooms will be available for use as of Monday. Separate announcements are being made for individual classes which may shift meeting locations to the renovated space, but the three classrooms (103, 105, and 106) are now available in the online reservation system for other meeting purposes.
There will be some minor ongoing work in the rear lobby of the first floor and in the new Women's Restroom, but this should be completed by mid-week.
The card-reader at the West Courtyard entry doors has been programmed to recognize all authorized members of the law community for building access.
Finally, the upper floors of the Law Library (4 and 5) will re-open to patron traffic as of Wednesday, November 12. Please note that Floors 4 and 5 are only accessible via the north stairwell which is located near the Library Reference Desk. The West Building elevators do not stop at Floors 4 and 5.
