Construction Activity Report 5/07/07

Greetings, everyone.

Please see message below. In order to install the new curtain wall on the east facade of the existing building, support hangars must be attached to the steel beams on the sixth floor north wing. We have asked the contractor to delay this very noisy work until the conclusion of final exams. The vibrations from the drilling are expected to be felt throughout much of the building.

The work is now scheduled for May 9 thru May 17. I checked the online calendar and see nothing scheduled during that period, but I'm writing to everyone just to make sure that the construction activity will not interfere with any MAJOR planned events. Please let me know if there is a problem. Thanks.

This is to confirm that any required drilling on the Existing (West) building may be scheduled to resume on May 9, 2007.

In addition are any events planned between May 9 and May 17 that would limit planned construction activity. This would include work in the 3rd Fl computer room (scheduled to start May 14) as well as work on the exterior of the building. Please let me know.
