ABA Self Study

The American Bar Association (ABA) and the American Association of Law Schools (AALS) will be conducting a routine three-day site inspection of the law school sometime during the 2006-07 school year, probably in the spring of that year.

All accredited law schools are inspected by the ABA and the AALS every seven years. The purpose of their inspection is to make sure that each school continues to meet the requirements for accreditation and to suggest ways in which the school could improve.

During the coming months the self study committee will be meeting with faculty, students, staff, alumni and employers to identify issues and concerns. We will then collect and analyze data to determine how well the law school is accomplishing its mission. We will then draft a report that will state our findings and submit it to the community for comment.
