The Office of Student Affairs is responsible for student counseling, including issues such as making the transition to law school, interaction with faculty, and problems on campus.

The members of the Office of Student Affairs:
  • provide information to the law school community and others about law school events
  • provide documents verifying student status, including letters of good standing, certifications of graduation, transfer applications, scholarship applications and letters notifying students regarding Dean's List, Dean's Scholar, and other honors
  • provide academic support through group and individual meetings with students, and supervises the teaching assistants and consultants in the Academic Support Program
  • counsel individual students on academic status, withdrawals, leaves of absence and transfer between full-time and part-time programs, graduation requirements
  • assist students with disabilities by arranging support services and necessary accommodations for disabled students in compliance with the ADA
  • help prepare students for the Bar Exam by providing information about the exam deadlines and requirements; creates programs to prepare students regarding the exam; certifying character and fitness of bar applicants, including counseling students with disciplinary or accommodation issues
The members of the Office of Student Affairs also plan and organize events such as:
  • Summer pre-orientation program
  • First year orientation
  • Transfer orientation
  • Friends and family Day
  • "Professionalism Hours"
  • Reception for graduates who passed the Bar Exam
  • Graduation
  • Student organization meetings, dinners and other activities
