On Friday, October 18, 2013, hundreds of members of the Rutgers Law-Camden community celebrated the 25th Anniversary of Rutgers Law Journal's State Constitutional Law Issue with a special lecture and reception at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia.

Sanford Levinson, author of the book Framed: America's 51 Constitutions and the Crisis of Governance (Oxford, 2012), delivered the keynote lecture "Reflections on States as Laboratories of Constitutional Design."

Levinson is the W. St. John Garwood & W. St. John Garwood, Jr., Centennial Chair in Law and Professor of Government at the University of Texas in Austin. His lecture, to be published as the Foreword in the Rutgers Law Journal's 25th Annual Issue on State Constitutional Law, will focus on issues of federal and state constitutional structure rather than judicial interpretation of constitutions.
